Shelly Davis is a freelance writer and consultant specializing in grant writing and technical communications. She has a B.A. in English from the University of Georgia and has completed graduate coursework at UNC-Pembroke and Fayetteville State University. With over 15 years of experience working with nonprofit health care organizations and human service agencies, she has held a range of positions in community relations, education and fundraising.

A native of the Southern Pines, NC area, Shelly lives near Wilmington, with her husband Matt, and two young daughters Georgia and Katherine. She enjoys reading historical novels, gardening and outdoor activities.
